Hansika Motwani is an Indian actress who predominantly acts in Tamil and Telugu movies. She was born in Mumbai on 9 August 1991. She made her film debut in the Telugu film Desamuduru (2007), winning the Filmfare Award for Best Female Debut – South. She began her vocation in Tamil silver screen with Mappillai (2011) and afterward showed up in a few commercially successful Tamil movies including Engeyum Kadhal (2011), Velayudham (2011), Oru Kal Oru Kannadi (2012), Theeya Velai Seiyyanum Kumaru (2013) and Maan Karate (2014). She has won several SIIMA, Filmfare and Vijay Awards.
Hansika is involved in numerous philanthropic activities. She gives financial support to the training of underprivileged kids and women with breast cancer.
