Asin Thottumkal (born 26 October 1985 in Kochi, Kerala), known mononymously as Asin, is a former Indian actress and Bharathanatyam artist. She has gotten three Filmfare Awards. She started her acting career in the South Indian film industry and also transcendently in Bollywood films. She talks eight languages, and dubs her own movies. She is the main Malayali actress, other than Padmini, to have dubbed in her own voice for every one of her movies, regardless of language. Asin won the Filmfare Best Female Debut Award and numerous honors for Ghajini. She is hitched to Micromax prime supporter Rahul Sharma, and has quit acting since 2016.
