Jamshad Cethirakath, born on 11th December 1980 at Trikaripur, Kasaragod, Kerala, known by his stage name Arya, is an Indian film actor and producer, who mainly appears in Tamil filmsbesides appearing in a number of Malayalam productions. He is a Bachelor till date and besides acting he has participated in the Vätternrundan Motala cycle race and won a medal. He also produces the films under his production company The Show People and is a partner in production company August Cinema. Arya has won the Filmfare Award for Best Male Debut – South and received two nominations each for Filmfare Awards and Vijay Awards. In 2011, he was awarded the Kalaimamani by the Tamil Nadu government.
